Your first two weeks with Point.
Most software is judged in its first week, and most of it is judged wrongly, because the first week is the week it knows least about you. This series is the honest version of that fortnight. It starts at the point of connecting an account, which takes about a minute and changes nothing about your address or your history, and walks through what arrives the next morning, what you correct, and what stops needing correcting. It is written in the second person because you are the one living it. By the last part you are meant to be able to say what changed, in specifics rather than in adjectives, and to know which of the changes were the software and which were you.

Day one: connecting the inbox you already have
The first afternoon is a sign-in and a wait. What to do with the wait, the one screen to find before the feed, and what to leave alone until tomorrow. - 02
Day two: your first morning with a sorted inbox
Overnight mail was ranked before you got there. How to check behind the ranking in a minute rather than an hour, and what to do with the hour it hands back. - 03
Day three: reading the line instead of the thread
The summary only saves you anything if you act on it without opening the thread. How to run one morning that way, and what ends up in the pile you open anyway. - 04
Day four: marking the VIPs in your email
The list of people you cannot afford to miss lives in your head. How to get it out in half an hour, and why the names with the least history matter most. - 05
Day five: your first reply written in your voice
A reply is drafted and waiting under the thread. Which parts of it to change, which to leave alone, and the one sentence worth teaching today. - 06
Day six: setting your first watch in plain words
You are waiting on something, so you keep checking. How to hand the waiting over in one sentence, and which of your open loops it actually suits. - 07
Day seven: turning an email into a dated task
Eleven dated tasks appeared without you. Where each date came from, what to do with the ones that are wrong, and the thing no list can hold. - 08
Day eight: two weeks in, and what actually changed
The two numbers from your first sorted morning, beside today's. What the zero proves, what it cannot, and the one setting you have earned the right to move.
